Programs: No refunds will be given for any program, unless a cancellation request is received 3 business days prior to the program session start date/time. No refunds will be given for 1-day events or programs. For illness and injuries, a doctor's note will be required in order to receive a refund, minus a $5 cancellation fee. Any refundable program cancellations will be charged a $5 service fee per session. Refunds will be given for programs that are cancelled due to COVID-19. If the COVID-19 cancellation occurs during a program session that is under 60% complete, a prorated refund will be given. If the COVID-19 cancellation occurs during a program session that is 60% or more completed, no refund will be given. No refunds will be given if a participant is removed due to violation of the Park District's Give Me 10 Safety & Behavioral Policy. Refunds for credit card payments will be issued directly to the credit card used. Refunds for cash or check payments require Board approval and will be processed the following month.
Summer Camps: No refunds will be given for any camp, unless a cancellation is received no later than seven (7) days prior to the summer camp session start date. River Forest Park District does not carry medical accident insurance for injuries sustained in its programs, and assumes no responsibility for personal injuries or loss of personal belongings while using District facilities or parks. Therefore, each person registering himself/herself or children for a recreation program or activity should review their own health insurance policy for coverage. The Park District requires all persons registering to sign the program waiver on the registration form when you register.
We reserve the right to terminate the participation of any individual in any Park District program, event, or facility for disruptive behavior or if it is considered by the Park District that the continued participation of the individual is not in the best interest of the participant or others who are involved.

Wait List vs. Wish List
Online Registration with Active
When registering online, if a class is full, join the WAIT LIST, not the wish list, to join the line of participants wanting to enroll in a program. Joining the WAIT LIST allows the Park District to view how many participants are on the list, allowing staff to determine if adding another section is feasible, etc. It also puts you in line in case an attendee cancels their program enrollment. The wish list is similar to creating a shopping list. The Park District cannot see your wish list. Questions? Give us a call at 708-366-6660.
