Masking in Phase 5

Fri June 11, 2021

Updated 6/14

Under the Restore Illinois Phase 5 reopening plan, which began on Friday, June 11th, Illinois lifted its outdoor mask requirement in schools in line with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The River Forest Park District is following the same mask guidelines as the Illinois Department of Education, which states masks are required indoors at all times by all vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. When outdoors, face masks are OPTIONAL for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

The safety and well-being of our participants is our #1 priority. Staff will continue to practice social distancing with participants, as well as sanitize equipment and hands. Park District facilities are cleaned regularly.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us at the Park District.
