Washington Square Tennis Court Project is Completed

On September 26th, the Washington Square Tennis Courts were reopened.  The courts were closed in mid-August for rehabilitation.  The old courts were ground up and used as the base for the new courts, and new asphalt courts were poured.  The project includes new fencing, and the overlay of new pickle ball courts over each tennis court.  The project was originally scheduled to be completed by May 1st, but a warm September allowed the project to be completed early.  Pickle ball racquets are available for rental, and pickle balls available for purchase at The Depot, 401 Thatcher Avenue.
